Maniacs at The Mason Jar - Mahwah, NY 02-23-24

The Maniacs played a really fun show at the Mason Jar in Mahwah, NJ on Friday, 02-23-24. The band was in really solid form as we banged out three hours of our usual classic rock hits! Here's a quick video of us playing “Hard to Handle” by the Black Crowes.

FTL in the studio tonight!

I am excited to announce that I actually got a few hours of studio time in to work on a new Faster Than Light song with vocalist David Brown from “Up ‘n’ Mary's Room” and Marco Ferreira from “Uninvited.” With two tracks completely finished for an upcoming release, tonight saw work on the next single titled “Desiree.” The song was written around thirty years ago when I was living in Albany, New York and it is about a five year old girl named Desiree in a pre-K class I was teaching in and all of the boys in the class thought that she was their girlfriend… so it is a little bit on the cute side, but we also allowed Desiree to grow up a bit in the song… Here are some studio pictures from tonight. I hope we can get the song released by the end of March.

Shameless selfie!

Maniacs at Shannon Rose 2-16-24

The Maniacs played a fun show at the Shannon Rose in Ramsey, NJ on Friday, February 16th… the band played for three hours and was well-received… I've posted a video below as well as a picture from the crowd…

Long overdue post...

So much has happened since I posted last… The Maniacs made its debut at Barrel 28 in Florida, NY back on January 23rd and the crowd really got behind us! It was a fun show for Tracy, John, Tom T, and me and we are excited to be invited back to play on Friday, July 19th! Get there early, because the food is top notch and the beer is cold!

February 3rd saw the return of Zer0 to the Doghouse Saloon and Grille in Township of Washington, NJ… we played to another packed house and the Doghouse is fast becoming one of our most popular venues! We performed a steady diet of 90s rock and grunge and even had Tracy from the Maniacs join us on stage for Poison's “Talk Dirty To Me” and one of the bar waitresses (I forget her name) join us for "Would? by Alice In Chains! We played a bunch of Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and even played about 40 minutes of overtime before the audience finally let us leave!

On February 9th the Maniacs returned to one of our favorite stages, Uncle Tommy's Tavern in Pearl River, NY. Tom B. from Thunderstruck joined us on guitar for the evening as we ran through our usual collection of classic rock hits including Aerosmith, AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Metallica and more! We will be back at Uncle Tommy's Tavern on Saturday, April 27th!
